Whilst all clients are treated as individuals and plans are bespoke, here is a list of treatments available for your animals. I take pride in ensuring the best care is provided and also have a number of other therapists and vets offering a wide range of treatment if I believe your animal needs referring for additional help.

Animal Physiotherapy

Veterinary physiotherapy is a science based profession, which takes an holistic approach to each patient by providing functional assessment following veterinary referral (where necessary). Physiotherapy for animals can be used alongside veterinary care to help in the treatment or long-term management of many musculoskeletal or neurological injuries and conditions. It can assist rehabilitation of the animal, with the aims of reducing pain, improving movement, and restoring normal muscle control and function. Physiotherapy can also be used for performance development of the animal athlete, helping to try to minimise the risk of injury whilst maximising the performance of competitive or working animals.

The use of red light therapy, taping, equissage, ultrasound and more is available.

Equine and Canine Sports Massage

Equine Sports Massage Therapy is the therapeutic application of hands-on massage techniques for the purpose of increasing circulation, relaxing muscle spasms, relieving tension, enhancing muscle tone, and increasing range of motion in horses & dogs. Equissage and Canissage machines also available.

Kinesiology taping

Kinesiology Taping, also known as K-Taping, helps them help your pet regain function and pain-free motion.

The skin has many neuroreceptors.  Some are sensitive to pressure (mechanoreceptors), some are sensitive to pain (nociceptors), and some body movement and position (proprioceptors) and some temperature (thermoreceptors).  They are very sensitive and are the reason we can detect when even a tiny fly lands on our head.  They are vital at protecting our body from injury and they help us heal if we are injured.

Kinesiology tape stimulates all of these neuroreceptors, and thus improve circulation and therefore, helps decrease bruising and pain.  The tape helps body parts communicate with the brain.  This feedback helps the brain improve circulation and healing to that area.  The tape also helps create free glide between the layers of skin, subcutaneous tissue and muscle layers

Rehabilitation livery

Our rehabilitation packages can be tailor-made to the specific requirements of your horse, whether they’re coming to us post-injury/ illness or for preventative measures, such as strength and conditioning work, or weight management.

Fitness and Rehab plans

You don’t have to own an elite sport horse to be concerned about his fitness, because you need your horse to be able to perform at his best, regardless of what level you’re riding or competing at. A fitter horse is a healthier horse, who will be at lower risk of injury – what more could you want?  I take the stress out of not knowing what to do and when and monthly or three monthly fitness plans keep you and your horse on track!

Coaching

Lunging and long reining and fitness coaching available for clients who need a helping hand working with their horse/pony from the ground up!
